Lil' Thunder, 8" (TV remote control, electric motor casings,
copy machine spring, plastic propeller, etc.) Inspired by an late 50s
tin toy called "Thunder Robot", this little guy can't wait to grow up
to be like daddy. Lil' Thunder is the result of my wife bringing home
a co-worker's leftover TV remote with the query, "Can your goofy
husband make a robot out of this?" "Hah!" I laughed, "bring me
something that's a challenge!" Actually, the remote had a bonus
feature. I tend not to add active electronics to my sculptures
because of the problem of where to hide the batteries without
affecting the over all design. The TV remote already has a built
in battery box! How cool is that?
