Professor Hawthorne needed a way to to keep track of all the satellites cluttering the Earth's orbit so he created Robot Space Rocket Dog. It's mission, using dog like sensors, was to fly from satellite to satellite to determine whether they were friend or foe. Unfortunately, the professor did not consider Robot Space Rocket Dog obedience school before the mission and once off the leash from the command module, it bolted to parts unknown somewhere in the vast galaxy.
